Trabert Hall – East Parking Lot
11th and South Street, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Masks required for all volunteers and neighbors dropping off items.
Click this link [Cleanup] to the webpage with more information on all the items can be recycled and reused. You will find quite a list of items that may be taking up space in your basement, closets, garage, cabinets, porches, etc.
- Star City Recycling will be onsite to collect items for recycling.
- Lincoln Goodwill will have boxes on pallets to collect re-useable items.
- Uribe Scrape Tire will collect tires.
- Roll-offs will be onsite for landfill items and brush.
Bring your recyclable and re-useable items to the drop off site at the Trabert Hall east parking lot to help reduce what goes to the landfill. Neighborhood volunteers will help you unload your items.
If you have items/brush but no way to bring them to the drop-off site, call 402-477-6357 or send an email to INA@neb.rr.com.
Note: We cannot accept the following.
• Household garbage
• Household hazardous waste
• Grass clippings or leaves
• Liquids of any kind
Brush coupons you can use later in the spring and summer will also be available for pick up at the site. The coupon covers the landfill gate fee.
Be a Clean Up Volunteer
Volunteers are needed to work at the clean up site unloading vehicles and driving the alleys for discarded items and/or to pick up items from neighbors who have no way to transport their stuff to the drop-off site. Anywhere from one hour to four hours of your time is greatly appreciated. Bring gloves if you have some.
To volunteer: Contact Pat Bracken at 402-477-6357 or email INA@neb.rr.com.
